Welcome to Fertility Frenzy: Tales of trying to get pregnant

Thanks for stopping by. My name is Dana and it took me 15 months to get (and stay) pregnant. One month into trying, we got pregnant pretty quickly, but lost it. The miscarriage sent me into military-style approah to fertility. I have tried strict diets, alternative medicine, vitamins, running to get healthy, and then not running to get healthy, more blood tests then I knew existed, diagnosis, misdiagnosis. Finally, all that worked and I was pregnant again. The same day I got those two lovely pink lines on my First Respone, I found out I was losing it and the ultrasound revealed the culprit. I had a fibroid the size of baseball that has found a lovely parcel of land on my uterus. After undergoing months of testing, where they doctor sternly said, "do not get pregnant", I had the fibroid removed in an abdominal myomectomy. 10 weeks post-surgery I got pregnant and now have a beautiful son.

While going through this, I scoured the internet for information and loved finding first hand accounts of what others went through trying to get pregnant. I loved being able to say I had those symptoms too and now look, they made it, they have a baby. So hopefully, I can provide some information, some laughs, and for the love of all things good, a success story that might get you through this adventure of trying to bring home baby.
